Simply put; it's needed. Homeowner Associatons are often disorganized and most homeowners are out of the loop. Do you know everything that is going on with your Association? Communication is extremely important and our goal is to provide everyone with a place to be heard. This site was designed to help homeowners take back their community.
Is it free to join Maroondoor.com?
Yes! Every feature and function you currently see on the site is FREE. Maroondoor.com is supported solely by advertising.
I thought this site was for homeowners; why do Real Estate Professionals have accounts too.
In short, we hope that maroondoor.com will create an Internet real estate hub. The site is devised into two sides. One side is for Homeowners and the other side is for Real Estate Professionals. Real Estate Professionals are here to network with other professionals and build relationships. They will not have access to your Homeowner Association but will be a click away if you should have a question about your local market. Perhaps someday mouse clicks will turn into handshakes. Why does my account have an image that says: HO, REPRO or REPROHO?
This is how we distinguish membership type. HO stands for Homeowner, REPRO stands for Real Estate Professional and REPROHO stands for Real Estate Professional who belongs to a Homeowner Association.
How do I change my personal information?
To change your personal information you will need to go to MY DASHBOARD > SETTINGS > the click the link that says ACCOUNT SETTINGS
How can I change my email address and /or password.
To edit your email address associated with your account go to MY DASHBOARD > SETTINGS and update your account pages.
How do I change my user profile content?
To add content to your profile fill out all the sections then you should go to the MY DASHBOARD > SETTINGS > then click the link that says Profile Settings.
How do I design My Profile so I can personalize as if it were my house?
To add content to your profile fill out all the sections then you should go to the MY DASHBOARD > SETTINGS > then click the link that says DESIGN MY PROFILE.
ASSOCIATIONS
Do I need to get permission from my association board or management company before I create a Homeowner Association site?No. The point of this site is to allow homeowners to take back control and to enhance communication amongst homeowners.
How do I join an Homeowner Association?
In order to join a Homeowner Association you first need to Register. Once you locate you Homeowner Association, you will need apply to apply for membership. You must be an owner to become a member. You application will be sent to the Association Leader (this is the person who created the Homeowner Association on Maroondoor.com.)
How do I create a Homeowner Association?
In order to create a Homeowner Association you first need to create a profile account by Registering. Once you have registered you will go to HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATIONS > CREATE HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION tab and fill out the information. You should do a thorough search to make sure your Homeowner Association does not already have a site set up on Hoanator.com.
If I am the creator of the Homeowner Association am I responsible to design and and maintain the site?
No. Once you create the site for your Homeowner Association your job is pretty much done. Our system automatically creates the site. The only thing you will be in charge of is reviewing and approving memberships to your site. All you need to do is review the application that is sent to you to make sure the applicant lives in your Homeowner Association. To approve applications all you need to do is click the "approve" link contain in the message you will automatically receive from our system. All members can design, upload images, docs, create polls etc. Please don't feel you are responsible for entire site. Everyone will help out.
If I create the Homeowner Association site can I assign someone else to review applications?
At this time you cannot. We are a brand new site, this feature will come soon. The "approval" process is dead simple.
Are Homeowner Associations private?
Yes. Users need to be logged in to see entire Homeowner Association site. If someone is not logged in they will only be able to view by looking at the Public Preview. This will display member profiles, Homeowner Association images and contact us page.
Can I be a member to more than one Homeowner Association?
You can belong to more than one association but at the present time you will only be able to see one Homeowner Association when you log into your Maroondoor.com account. We are working on a way that will allow members to list all Homeowner Association memberships.
How do I add "Association Documents" to my Homeowner Association site?
If you are logged in and viewing the Dashboard of your Homeowner Association site you will see a link or tab that says Upload Documents. Please make sure your file sizes are reasonable. Huge file sizes will bog down system and the process will fail.
